What's the most accurate .22 pistol you've ever shot? I've tried a few Rugers and it's impressive, but I am curious what really holds tight on target

Hands down, the Browning Buck Mark shoots the tightest for me, it has crisp trigger, and a pretty solid barrel. Rugers are good, but the Buck Mark just sticks to the target

I've shot and owned pretty much all the popular sem-auto .22LR pistols (S&W, Ruger, Browning, Remington, etc etc) and there is no question to me that the Taurus TX-22 is for me the most reliable (given top shelf .22LR cartridges are used) and exceedingly accurate (TX-22 5" Competition w/Sig Sauer red dot, 53yd smack downs on a 6" plate, offhand). For CCW/defense duty it's the TX-22 3.5" Compact + Sig red dot, with less long range consistency but offers necessary less CCW footprint ... but I'm opting for the Competition as best all around .22LR pistol, even for CCW (sans muzzle brake).

I've heard that, I've shot a Buck Mark too, and it's impressively accurate. The trigger and barrel make follow-up shots effortless, and yes a step up from most Rugers in precision

Nice write-up, I've used the TX-22 Competition with a red dot and it consistently delivered excellent groups. The 3.5″ compact is a smart choice when concealment beats long-range precision overall

For the most "Accurate" but also the most expensive - Pardini SP & K series & Hammerli X-ESSE are THE most accurate .22 pistol avail. IF you have deep pockets......lol

Most shooters say the Ruger Mark series and Browning Buck Mark are extremely accurate. For match-grade precision, the S&W Model 41 and target brands like Pardini or Morini are often top picks

Those Pardini and Hammerli pistols are legendary for precision. Maybe one day I'll splurge for match-grade gear, but my Ruger does just really fine now

Totally, Ruger Mark and Buck Mark are great value. S&W Model 41's a classic. Pardini and Morini shine for competition if you can afford them maybe one day
