I hunt prairie dogs. When I leave the main road and I'm on the ranch 2 track road, my 17 HMR and support bag is on the front seat next to me. There's one particular field I like to start at and it's on the back part of the property. As I'm poking along the 2 track and I see a PD on my side, my rest goes on the door window and the 17 is resting on it for the shot. If the PD is on the passenger side, the rest goes on the bedcover of my truck for the shot. I don't know how large the ranch is, but when I moving from one spot to the other, I make the best of each opportunity.
