Tripod recommendations

I mostly use mine for zeroing and spotting scopes but the legs are too bendy and the head doesn't move smoothly when I'm panning. I'm looking for a tough tripod that can handle recoil and has smooth panning. Any recommendations?

I've used several tripods over the years. Now, I only use the Leofoto SO 322C. This is an inverted tripod with a leveling head. I have used several attachments on the leveling head, but found the arca rail or a large bag works best. I really like the leveling head, but most of all I like the easy and fast adjustable legs. I use it for sitting as well standing.

When doing load development, I work from the bench and then fine tune the load on the tripod.

(EDIT - this isn't what you're looking for, this is only for the spotting scope)

I use a Slik tripod with the action panhead I picked up at a garage sale. Works perfect ! Nice and solid

If you want good recoil and clear glassing, take a look at the BOG DeathGrip carbon fiber tripod. That thing is STRONG!
