How long do rifle barrels?

I'm wondering what you all think a rifle barrel's lifespan is. I know it depends on the caliber and load, but how many rounds did you fire before your accuracy went down?

Powerful calibers might only go for about 1,500 shots but easier ones can last over 5,000!

I'm not sure how many thousand of rounds I've shot in my 20 VT, but in the 7 years I've been shooting it, it's a lot. It's my first out to use in the PD fields. It still holds a very accurate group.
