I am trying to expand my bass fishing spots around New Jersey. I usually fish a couple local ponds with decent results, but I want to try some larger reservoirs that hold bigger fish. I went to Spruce Run a few weeks back and the scenery was great but fishing was slow, what are your go-to NJ lakes for consistent bass action?

Manasquan Reservoir’s been good to me for steady action, especially early mornings. Round Valley can surprise you with some big ones too, though it’s hit or miss. Mercer Lake’s worth a try if you’re nearby

You gotta hit the classics, Lake Hopatcong for massive surface area and tons of structure. Also, try Round Valley Reservoir for big smallmouth and largemouth, it's super deep and for consistent largemouth action, Manasquan Reservoir is a proven spot in Central Jersey

I’ve heard good things about Manasquan but never tried it, I might head there next weekend. Round Valley sounds tempting too

Nice, I appreciate the rundown, I’ve also been meaning to hit Hopatcong, I heard the structure’s great for summer bass. Sounds like Round Valley and Manasquan both deserve a full day each too
