Favorite hunting movies

Jeremiah Johnson will always be one of my favorites. It's old, but the risks and how they showed the wilderness is really good. A bad movie I still watch sometimes is The Ghost and the Darkness… it's over the top, but somehow fun.

Jeremiah Johnson, which I may be wrong but if I remember correctly is based off a real person.
Deer Hunter is a classic.

Jeremiah Johnson movie is great but it makes being a loner in the mountains sound way better than it was. Real mountain men relied on others a lot. Still a good film, just not the full story.

Jeremiah Johnson is gritty and timeless. I get the appeal of The Ghost and the Darkness too, ridiculous but entertaining every time.
