Guns I bought just to complete a collection

I bought a .40 S&W just because I had 9mm and .45 ACP and felt like I should have all three service calibers represented. I've shot it maybe twice. It doesn't do anything my other guns don't do better. Sometimes we buy guns for completionist reasons that make no practical sense, and that's okay, hobbies don't have to be practical.

I’ve done that, it looked great in the safe and barely ever made it to range day.

Yeah, I’ve done the completionist purchase thing too. It’s not always about utility, sometimes it’s just about rounding out the collection and having the full set even if it doesn’t see much range time.

Bought a 10mm for pretty much the same reason. It shoots great but mostly stays locked up in the safe. Some guns just are like that.
