Anyone here shooting specialty pistols? I started shooting them about 7 years ago and like them more than my rifles. I prefer shooting with an arca rail on a tripod.

It is quite a difference. The only time I shoot from the bench is during load development. Most of my shooting time is from the tripod since that's how I use these in the fields.

I use a Bog Pod with a Reaper grip for mine. An yes, it is way steadier than a bench if you plan to shoot in the field. Once I tried that setup, I quit bothering with bags.

I have a TC Contender in .22 Hornet that I shoot off a tripod. It's deadly accurate on small varmints at 150 yards.

The Arca rail setup is really important for staying stable in the field - way better than using bags.

What loads are you using in that 20 Vartarg for your best groups?
