First Handgun Memories: Do You Still Have Yours?

What was your first handgun like? Do you still have it, or did you let it go? I'd love to hear your stories and maybe see some photos too!

My first handgun was a Colt 1911 Series 70 back in 1974. I still have it but it needs to see a gunsmith as the hammer will not fire after cocking - I'm just not brave enough to take it apart for fear of losing timey parts or springs.

Do you have a 'smith or need to find one? Mine was a Ruger BLKHWK security six. Great plinking gun.

Mine was a Ruger Mark 1 back in 1976. Bought it from Gene's Gun Room in Irvington.

My very first HG was a 2001 Springfield 1911 Loaded V-12 (.45acp) which I shot up until around 2017 +/- than I had it completely redone and customized to match the 1911 form the movie Face Off and she is now retired......

I had a Colt Model 70 in the '70s, it was a great gun but was stolen when our house was broken into before I purchased a safe. For all you 1911 fans this is one of the best videos I've seen.
