Firing pin broke mid-range session

My gun went from working to just clicking, it turns out the firing pin snapped clean in half. No warning at all, it just broke. How often do you guys swap out your firing pins?

That’s rare but it happens. I usually replace firing pins on round count or during major spring changes, not on a schedule.

Only gun I've needed to do that on was my tommy gun. Second one has held solid but I did get spares. What were u shooting that it broke on? Some guns are more prone to it than others
