That’s dedication, tuning powders, bullets and lube for consistent groups is a rabbit hole, but the results are oh-so-satisfying.I scoped it to see if I could build smokeless cartridges (TightGroup, BE-86, and W231 along with cast bullets in 200, 230, and 255 grains that are lubed or PC'd) that would "reasonably" group at 100 and 200 yards. If not I have a Marbles tang peep rear and Lyman 17 globe front waiting in the wings.
This is easy peasy as compared to working up a black powder paper patched proper slick diameter for a .45 Colt rolling block! I'll be posting that project soon as I get the rifle from my FFL ... the fun never ends, ehThat’s dedication, tuning powders, bullets and lube for consistent groups is a rabbit hole, but the results are oh-so-satisfying.
