I put a $800 scope on a $400 rifle

Some people say match your scope price to your rifle price. I say put good glass on whatever you got and cheap rifle shoots way better now. Is this backwards or does it actually make sense?

Good glass matters more than the rifle. You can’t hit what you can’t see.
