Everyone's switching to 6.5. I've got tons of .308 already and it works fine for deer. Am I stubborn or is .308 still perfectly good? I am not trying to shoot past 300 yards anyway.
I still hunt with a .308 because it does the job. Ammo is easy to find and I trust it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, especially if it keeps getting me tags.
I also use a .308 because I know how it shoots and how much it kicks. Inside 300 yards, knowing what you're doing is way better than chasing the latest trend.
