Hello, what's the most overlooked survival skill everyone should know? I've seen people focus on fancy gear, but stuff like fire-starting or basic navigation can save your butt. Share the skills you think folks ignore

Honestly, people overlook the basics like fire-starting, reading a map and compass, and finding clean water. Fancy gadgets won't help if you can't make fire or navigate

One time I tried impressing friends with a fancy survival knife… I ended up lost in the woods because I couldn't read a compass...knowing how to navigate beats showing off gear. Also, fire-starting is basically wizardry for real life

I did the same, trusted a fancy knife and got lost. Now I practice map and compass daily and always carry fire starting tools too
