The name just happened naturally

My deer rifle became "Old Reliable" after using it for fifteen years without issues. Didn't plan it, the name just stuck after enough hunts. Do names develop on their own or do you guys actually sit there trying to think of clever names for your guns?

I agree that names just come about on their own. If you try to force it, it does not feel normal. With time and use, the names kind of come up, especially when the tool works every time.

Yeah names just kind of stick after enough memories and successful hunts
